Council chiefs have named the company which will build Colchester United's long-awaited stadium and take the club into a new era.
Scottish firm Barr has won the race to build the £14.5 million all-seat community stadium at Cuckoo Farm.
Steve Clarke, of Colchester Council, said there were still some hurdles to overcome before the contract could be signed, but Barr was now on board and would start working on detailed plans for the 10,000-seat stadium.
The company is one of the UK's biggest constructors of football grounds and sports facilities.
