POLICE are investigating after a woman died at a house in Colchester.
Officers and paramedics were called to the property in Hunting Gate, Greenstead, after concerns were raised.
Police officers arrived at about 6.30pm on Wednesday, having been called by paramedics.
A spokesman for the force said: “Officers attended and the woman aged in her 30s sadly died that the scene.
“Her death is not being treated as suspicious, although it is unexplained and police will be looking in to the circumstances.
“A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
Police were later joined by forensic experts and the house was cordoned off for a number of hours while searches were carried out and checks were made.
Officers are now trying to work out the circumstances surrounding her death.
A post-mortem examination will be carried out to establish the cause and an inquest opened in the coming days.
