COLCHESTER United legend Karl Duguid has been appointed as the new Stanway Rovers manager.
The 38-year-old replaces Angelo Harrop, who resigned on Tuesday night.
Duguid, who made over 400 appearances for the U's, will take charge from January 1, with former assistant boss Michael Pulford taking the reins on a caretaker basis over Christmas.
Pulford will be in charge for the Thurlow Nunn League premier division match at Brantham Athletic on Tuesday.
Duguid's first game in the hotseat will be at home to Saffron Walden Town on January 7.
