A BUS fire caused long delays on a busy road near Colchester town centre.
Firefighters were called to North Station Road at around 12.20pm on Sunday.
Drivers were advised to avoid the area whilst the fire service worked to extinguish the blaze, which was completed by 12.50pm.
No one is believed to have been injured in the incident.
Traffic in the area was at a standstill whilst emergency services worked at the scene.
The knock on effects of the incident caused long delays on the A134, near to Asda supermarket, in Turner Rise.
The cause of the fire has been recorded as overheating.
