SEVERE delays clockwise on the M25 due to a van fire, National Highways have confirmed.
A van fire was reported on the M25 at 3.55pm today which has caused severe delays on one of the UK's busiest roads.
Delays of more than an hour have been reported after the ‘critical incident’ between Junction 27, Epping, and Junction 28, Romford.
There is also six miles of congestion.
National Highways have confirmed that two out of four lanes have been closed for traffic safety.
An update from National Highways issued at 4.41pm said that lanes 1 and 2 are currently closed.
Traffic is currently passing the scene in lanes 3 and 4.
It’s estimated there are delays of 72 minutes above predicted journey times.
