Concord Rangers are through to the final of the Schweppes Essex Senior League's Harry Fisher Memorial Trophy.

Having won the home leg of their semi-final with Woodford Town 5-2 last week, Canvey-based Concord triumphed 3-1 in Saturday's second match for an 8-3 aggregate triumph.

The second game was also held at Rangers' Thames Road ground as Woodford's facilities at Clapton's Spotted Dog headquarters were not available.

Dave Jenkins grabbed a brace for Concord after 35 and 48 minutes while Lee Thorne completed the tally a minute from time. Brown netted for Woodford after 54 minutes.

In the final on May 1 at Barking, Concord will take on a Burnham Ramblers side who beat Basildon United 6-3 on aggregate. Last week's 2-0 win at Gardiners Close was added to by a 4-3 home success on Saturday.

To be fair Basildon did their best to make a fight of it after being 3-0 down - 5-0 on aggregate - at half-time against a Burnham side hoping to be playing Ryman League soccer next season.

Steve Arnold (17 minutes), Danny Greaves (19 minutes) and Cousins (a 45th minute penalty) saw Ramblers seal the game. Arnold scored again after 70 minutes, but Harper (60 minutes) and White (65 minutes) had hit back for Bees by then. At least Basildon had the last word with a 90th-minute third goal from White.

In the League, Southend Manor moved back into second spot with a 4-0 win over fourth-placed Ilford.

After a goalless first-half, Clive Jones grabbed the opener at Southchurch Park after 51 minutes. Ben Barnett, almost inevitably, got the second on the hour with his 26th of the season - increasing his lead in the race for the League's Don Douglas Trophy which goes to the top marksman.

Peter Durant, a consistent scorer recently, made it 3-0 after 63 minutes, while Matt Taylor wrapped up a superb success ten minutes from time.

Manor now know who their opponents will be in the Ancient Order of Foresters League Cup final, being played on Easter Saturday (April 22) at Leyton FC. For Saffron Walden completed a 4-0 aggregate success over Leyton in the semi-finals after a 2-0 away win in Saturday's second leg.

Bowers United lost 1-0 to Brentwood at Crown Avenue, while Hullbridge Sports suffered a disappointing 3-2 home defeat at the hands of Eton Manor. Luke Slatford opened the scoring for Hullbridge after just five minutes and there was also an own goal for them.

Jamie Everton and ex Colchester United goalkeeper John Cheesewright - playing on the field now - levelled the proceedings and Manor's injury-time winner was an own goal.

Hullbridge host Woodford tomorrow night and, at the same time, Burnham will join Saffron Walden at the top of the table if they win at bottom club Stansted.
