Colchester United's footballing heroes will be honoured with a civic reception.
The reception for U's players and staff has been planned by the town's mayor since the club's historic FA Cup run, which saw them take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
With the team needing a single point on Saturday to clinch promotion to the Championship, the event could be even more of a party.
Colchester United's players, youth team and backroom staff have all been invited to the reception, hosted by mayor Terry Sutton, at Colchester Town Hall.
They are due to arrive in High Street at 7.30pm on Monday by coach.
If the club have clinched promotion, it is hoped that an open-top bus will carry the team through the town on a victory parade.
But with the League One title and promotion battle unresolved, the club are reluctant to make definite plans at this stage.
