A BRIGHT piece of artwork outside Firstsite in Colchester is to be joined by more lights next spring.
Artist Simon Periton designed the new work, which features a large Victorian-inspired lamp post.
Lisa Gerrard and partner Pat Mills are pictured gazing at it in the gardens of East Hill House.
The lamp post will be joined by a series of lanterns hanging from trees and some more planting next spring.
The work is inspired partly by the long-established mulberry tree in the gardens, and partly by Colchester’s 19th century history of using silk moths in producing silk.
