A MAN who drove home from court after being disqualified has appeared in court again.
Freddie Hopkinson was caught driving on the A120 at Braintree at 1.20pm on February 21, having been sentenced to a six month ban at Colchester Magistrates’ Court earlier that day.
The 39-year-old of Hadham Road, Bishop’s Stortford, had originally been disqualified under the ‘totting up’ procedure having received 12 penalty points on his licence within three years.
Hopkinson was spotted driving away from town on an ANPR camera and was stopped just past Galleys Corner and arrested.
He was charged with driving while disqualified and appeared at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on April 9.
Hopkinson admitted the offence.
He was disqualified from driving for a further 10 months and ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work.
He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.
