Colchester United ended their nine-match losing run with a vital 2-0 win over Walsall this afternoon.
Jabo Ibehre, who signed for the U's from MK Dons earlier this week, gave Colchester the lead with 12 minutes to go from the edge of the area, after substitute Freddie Sears had closed down Walsall goalkeeper Ian McLoughlin's clearance.
And Sears added a second in the 89th minute when he tapped in from substitute George Porter's low cross into the penalty area.
It was Colchester's first win since beating Bury 2-0, in mid-November.
