Tom Eastman is shaping up for Colchester United’s survival battle after embarking on a new fitness regieme.
U’s boss Joe Dunne has given the young centre-back a fixed programme, in a bid to help him get in tip-top shape.
Eastman returned to Colchester’s starting line-up for the first time in two months when he helped them beat Yeovil 2-0, on Tuesday night.
The 21-year-old defender is likely to keep his place for their trip to Stevenage tomorrow and is feeling in good condition.
Eastman said: “I’ve just been trying to keep myself in good shape really.
“When I’ve been out of the team, it’s not as easy as when you’re playing games week in, week out.
“I’ve been trying to keep fit and doing a bit of work in the gym, along with eating healthily."
