A dramatic late equaliser from Andy Taylor extended Colchester United's run without a win to nine games following a 1-1 draw against Walsall.
Taylor stuck in the sixth minute of stoppage time to deny the U's victory, at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
Walsall went close twice early on through James Baxendale and Craig Westcarr.
But Colchester took a seventh-minute lead when Freddie Sears’ controlled Gavin Massey’s pass on the edge of the area before firing a superb shot past keeper Richard O’Donnell.
Jabo Ibehre and Alex Gilbey both went close for Colchester after that but Colchester received a let-off when James Chambers’ long-range effort hit the woodwork.
And just before half-time, the U’s had another scare when Sam Mantom’s strike clattered the post.
The second half was a tight affair between two well-matched sides and Colchester were forced to defend for increasing periods, as the clock ticked down.
And just when Colchester looked like they were going to hold on for a victory, Taylor struck with his set-piece to rescue Walsall a point.
