Colchester United development coach Richard Hall believes James Bransgrove's international call-up is testament to the goalkeeper's hard work.
The U's youth team shot-stopper has been called into Scotland's under-18 squad for a two-day training camp, next week.
Bransgrove, who had previously been at Brentford prior to joining Colchester last summer, has been in impressive form for the U's all-conquering under-18s side this season helping them to 12 wins out of 12.
Hall said: “James has a great attitude and plays with a smile on his face.
“The fact that he has been called into the Scotland under-18 squad is testament to him and how hard he has worked.
“He’s come a long way in a short space of time."
