Tom Eastman will continue his injury comeback when Colchester United’s under-21s take on Watford in a friendly today.
Eastman has not featured for the U’s first team since mid-September, having been sidelined with an ankle injury.
However, the former Ipswich Town centre-back was an unused substitute for Colchester’s 2-2 draw at Rotherham United, last weekend.
And he is expected to play against the Hornets, along with the likes of Ryan Dickson, Tosin Olufemi and Mason Spence.
Macauley Bonne and Sammie Szmodics are also set to play, following their recent exploits with the first team.
And the U’s are also expected to field trialists in the game, along with some of their second-year apprentices.
