Drey Wright handed Colchester United a boost after making his first senior appearance for nearly seven months following his return from knee surgery.
The U's winger played the final 22 minutes of their 2-0 defeat at promotion-chasing Peterborough United at London Road, on Wednesday night.
Wright's last appearance came in Colchester's 2-2 draw at Bradford City, last September after the 19-year-old underwent an operation on his knee.
U's boss Joe Dunne said: “I’m pleased Drey has got some minutes.
“It’s been a real battle for him this season and he’s still nowhere near where he needs to be.
“But the fact that we’ve got him some games is a positive."
