Colchester United will check on the fitness of winger Drey Wright after the winger limped off with what appeared to be a knee injury in their under-21 home defeat against Sheffield Wednesday.
The 20-year-old suffered the injury in the U's 5-0 loss against the Owls in the Professional Development League Two at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
Wright has only recently returned from a knee problem sustained in the U's opening-day draw with Oldham Athletic and appeared as a second-half substitute in Colchester's 2-1 win over Fleetwood Town on Saturday.
Wright limping off was not the only injury setback for Colchester's under-21s against the Owls.
Kevin Lokko and Dominic Vose also picked up knocks in the defeat.
John McGreal's side found themselves a goal down at half-time, following Franck Betra's strike.
And a brace from Ryan Meadows, along with further second-half goals from Will de Havilland and Matt Penny, gave the unbeaten Owls victory.
