Colchester United have taken Ipswich Town full-back Elliott Hewitt back on loan.
The 20-year-old made Blues defender made six appearances for the U's on an initial one-month loan spell recently but headed back to Portman Road at the end of it.
However, Town boss Mick McCarthy has now agreed for the youngster to return to Colchester for another month and U's boss Tony Humes said that he would travel with them for tomorrow's League One game at Barnsley.
Meanwhile, the Colchester manager also said that they have signed young West Ham defender Jamie Harney.
The 18-year-old joined the U's yesterday on a youth loan deal until January, but Humes confirmed to the Gazette today that he had been offered and had accepted a contract that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2015/16 season.
See tomorrow's paper for full reaction to the two pieces of signing news and the build-up to Colchester's game at Barnsley.
