Johnnie Jackson is determined to put his unhappy memories of Pride Park behind him tonight.
The versatile Colchester United man spent a miserable three months at Derby County last season, on loan from Tottenham Hotspur.
He went there with the intention of gaining experience - but played only three matches for the Rams.
As he prepared to return to the ground for the first time since that unproductive spell, Jackson was looking forward to making up for that disappointing experience by helping the U's secure an important Coca-Cola Championship victory.
He told the Evening Gazette: "I didn't have the best of times at Derby.
"It was a difficult time for me because I went there for experience and it didn't work out for me.
"I've got nothing against Derby because they're a great club."
