Kane Vincent-Young has signed a new contract with Colchester United.
The 22-year-old full-back has put pen to paper on a fresh deal with the U's, bringing to an end weeks of speculation about his future at the JobServe Community Stadium.
The talented former Spurs youngster has signed a new two-year deal with the League Two club.
Vincent-Young told the Daily Gazette: “It went on far too long but I’m just glad to have finally got it sorted.
“This is the outcome that I always wanted and I’m delighted to sign."
Vincent-Young, who was Colchester's Young Player of the Year last season, failed to agree terms with them prior to their League Two curtain-raiser at Notts County, forcing him to miss the 0-0 draw last Saturday.
However, he has now finally agreed terms with John McGreal's side and is set to be available for selection for their first home game of the season against Port Vale, this weekend.
Vincent-Young joined Colchester in 2014 and has made 80 first-team appearances for the club to date.
