COLCHESTER United have completed the loan signing of Cole Kpekawa.
The 18-year-old centre-half or left-back has joined on an initial one-month deal from QPR.
“He’s got a lot of potential,” said U’s boss Tony Humes.
“We’ve seen him a lot over the last couple of years and he fits into what we’re trying to do.
“It’s an opportunity for a young player, which is what we’re all about, and it gives us strength and back-up, albeit inexperienced and youthful.
“He’s impressed me with his all-round ability, whenever I’ve seen him before.
“He’s got good technique and quality and looks like he wants to defend.
“He’s got all the attributes and it’s just about him getting the experience he needs to take him further in his career.”
