Jabo Ibehre has returned to Colchester United following the completion of his loan spell at their League One rivals Oldham Athletic.
Ibehre has spent the last three months with the Latics, after joining them at the beginning of October.
The 31-year-old made 12 appearances for Lee Johnson's side and scored twice, including a goal in their 2-2 draw with Doncaster Rovers at Boundary Park last weekend.
Ibehre will now return to the U's but his long-term future remains unclear.
He is out of contract at the end of the season and made it clear that he wanted to leave Colchester and seek a new challenge upon Tony Humes' appointment as manager, last September.
Meanwhile, U's midfielder Elliott Hewitt has been named in the League One Team of the Week.
The Ipswich Town loanee capped an impressive performance with an excellent goal in Colchester's 2-0 win at Peterborough United, last weekend.
