U's sign South Africa captain Bongani Khumalo on loan from Tottenham Hotspur
Colchester United have signed Tottenham Hotspur defender Bongani Khumalo on loan until the end of the season.
The 28-year-old scored the winner for South Africa in their win over France in the 2010 World Cup Finals.
Khumalo has previously had loan spells at Reading, Doncaster and Preston North End.
He was not in the U's squad for their game at Crawley as Colchester are still waiting for international clearance for the centre-back.
