Jamie Harney has become the latest player to commit his future to Colchester United after signing a one-year contract with the club.
The former West Ham United centre-back, who was out of contract at the end of last season, has agreed to stay at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
Harney was a regular in Colchester's under-21 side last season and also made four appearances for the U's first team last season and will be hoping to force his way into John McGreal's line-up for their upcoming League Two campaign.
The 20-year-old follows the likes of Drey Wright, Sammie Szmodics and Macauley Bonne in agreeing new deals with the U's.
