Colchester United head coach John McGreal has been nominated for the Sky Bet League Two Manager of the Month award for August.
And U's winger Brennan Dickenson has been shortlisted for the division’s Player of the Month award.
McGreal, in his first season of senior management, presided over Colchester's impressive start to the season, which saw his side win three and draw one of their opening five matches.
McGreal is up against Morecambe’s Jim Bentley, Nathan Jones of Luton Town and Mansfield Town manager Adam Murray.
Former U’s boss George Burley is among the judging panel, along with Sky Sports’ EFL League expert Don Goodman, League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery.
Meanwhile, Dickenson is hoping to land the League Two Player of the Month award for August after making a bright start to his Colchester career.
The former Gillingham wide-man bagged three goals and an assist, in his first five league games.
Dickenson is up against Doncaster Rovers’ James Coppinger, Crewe Alexandra winger Alex Kiwomya and Morecambe keeper Barry Roche for the award.
The winners of both awards will be announced on Friday.
