Wantaway defender George Elokobi has insisted he will do everything he can to help Colchester United move up the table while he is still at Layer Road.
The 21-year-old made a goalscoring return to the U's starting line-up against Sheffield Wednesday, following a five-game absence.
Elokobi slapped in a transfer request after being dropped following Colchester's defeat at Coventry at the end of October.
And manager Geraint Williams has said the club will listen to appropriate offers for the defender in the January transfer window.
However, Elokobi has insisted that he remains fully committed to the cause while he is still a Colchester player.
And ahead of the U's clash with Coca-Cola Championship leaders Watford tonight, the Cameroon-born player said he is not looking too far ahead.
He said: "I've no idea what will happen in January.
"I'm still a Colchester player and I want to carry on picking up points and hopefully move further up the table.
"As far as I'm concerned I'm still a Colchester player and you never know what's around the corner.
"I will always give 100 per cent for the club and that's what I've always done."
Elokobi is hoping to start against the Hornets tonight, having replaced the injured Danny Granville in Colchester's 2-1 victory at Hillsborough.
"It was fantastic to be back in the team again," said the no-nonsense defender.
"It's been a while and it's frustrating watching it from the sidelines.
"I've tried to keep my head down and keep working hard and I knew my chance would eventually come because of the number of games that we have.
"The gaffer said to me go out and try to keep your place in the team' and I hope I've done that."
