Colchester United reserves thrashed their Stevenage counterparts 6-0 tonight, in their opening Football Combination game of the season.
Richard Hall's experienced side were simply too good for their hosts.
Goals from Andrew Bond, Craig Arnott, Jordan Sanderson and Tom Eastman gave the U's a commanding four-goal lead at half-time.
And further strikes from Tosin Olufemi and Karl Duguid sealed Colchester's comprehensive win.
The likes of Kem Izzet, Ben Williams and Pat Baldwin all featured for the U's, along with new signing Tom Aldred.
