(Colchester Borough) (Permitted Parking and Special Parking Area) (Consolidation) (Amendment No.9) Order 2012
Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council has made the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(1), 4(2), 32, 35, 45, 46, 49 and 53 and Parts Ill and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To introduce the following Resident Permit Holders Only bays Schedule P (Hamilton Road Area, Colchester) Mon-Sat 8am-6pm, on that length of St Helena Road in the Borough of Colchester as specified:
St Helena Road:
East side:
i. From a point 10 metres south of its junction with Maldon Rd, southwards for a distance of 32 metres.
ii. From a point 47.5 metres south of its junction with Maldon Rd, southwards for a distance of 10.2 metres.
iii. From a point 66 metres south of its junction with Maldon Rd, southwards for a distance of 6.4 metres.
iv. From a point 81 .6 metres south of its junction with Maldon Rd, southwards for a distance of 8.3 metres.
v. From a point 99.1 metres south of its junction with Maldon Rd, southwards for a distance of 5.5 metres.
vi. From a point 110.1 metres south of its junction with Maldon Rd, southwards for a distance of 4.6 metres.
vii. From a point 120.3 metres south of its junction with Maldon Rd, southwards for a distance of 18.4 metres.
viii. From a point 148 metres south of its junction with Maldon Rd, southwards for a distance of 6.5.metres.
ix. From a point 163.8 metres south of its junction with Maldon Rd, southwards for a distance of 6.5 metres.
x. From a point 178.7 metres south of its junction with Maldon Rd, southwards for a distance of 10.6 metres.

West side:
i. From a point 10 metres south of its junction with Maldon Rd, southwards for a distance of 33.5 metres.
ii. From a point 49 metres south of its junction with Maldon Rd, southwards for a distance of 8.3 metres.
iii. From a point 65.7 metres south of its junction with Maldon Rd, southwards for a distance of 7.3 metres.
iv. From a point 82.3 metres south of its junction with Maldon Rd, southwards for a distance of 9.2 metres.
v. From a point 97 metres south of its junction with Maldon Rd, southwards for a distance of 10.1 metres.
vi. From a point 116.3 metres south of its junction with Maldon Rd, southwards for a distance of 3.7 metres.
vii. From a point 125.5 metres south of its junction with Maldon Rd, southwards for a distance of 9.2 metres.
viii. From a point 142.9 metres south of its junction with Maldon Rd, southwards for a distance of 7.5 metres.
ix. From a point 159.6 metres south of its junction with Maldon Rd, southwards for a distance of 4.6 metres.
x. From a point 169.7 metres south of its junction with Maldon Rd, southwards for a distance of 3.7 metres.
xi. From a point 183.6 metres south of its junction with Maldon Rd, southwards for a distance of 4.4 metres.
The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Consolidation) Order 2008 [hereinafter referred to as 2008 Order'] will be varied by the above Order. Minor amendments will also be made to the aforementioned Order to remove obsolete restrictions and further clarify some existing restrictions.
All residents and businesses specified in the Hamilton Road Area which includes Butt Road, Hamilton Road, Constantine Road, Maldon Road and St Helena Road as detailed in Schedule P of the 2008
Order' will be eligible to apply for a permit.
Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 20 April 2012.
Further details: A copy of the Order and plans may be examined during normal office hours at County Hall, Chelmsford CM1 1LX.
Application to the High Court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.
(George Street, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2012
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of George Street in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 50 metres south of its junction with Williams Walk, south for a distance of approximately 50 metres.
The one way restriction on George Street will be temporarily suspended.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 4 April 2012 for 3 days or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while works to install a new water connection are undertaken.
The altemative route will be via William's Walk - East Stockwell Street - High Street. Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.
The Order will come into effect on 4 April 2012 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Coach Road Level Crossing, Alresford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2012
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Coach Road Level Crossing, in the Parish of Alresford in the District of Tendring, for a distance of 10 metres either side of the level crossing.
The closure is scheduled to commence at 2320h on 4 April 2012 to 0600h 5 April 2012 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pathway inspection is undertaken by Network Rail.
The alternative route will be via Coach Road - Wivenhoe Road - B1027 - Coach Road and vice versa.
Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.
The Order will come into effect on 4 April 2012 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(A137 East Street/Harwich Road (Eastgates Level Crossing), Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2012
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of A137 East Street/Harwich Road (Eastgates Level Crossing) in the Borough of Colchester, for a distance of 10 metres either side of the level crossing gates.
The closure is scheduled to commence at 2320h on the 2 April 2012 to 0600h 3 April 2012 and 2320h on 3 April 2012 to 0600h on 4 April 2012 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce whilst works to replace damaged crossing panels are undertaken by Network Rail.
The alternative route will be via A137 Harwich Road - A133 St Andrews Avenue -A1232 Ipswich Road - A137 East Street and vice versa.
Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.
The Order will come into effect on 2 April 2012 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Surrey Lane, Tiptree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2012
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Surrey Lane, Tiptree in the Borough of Colchester, from a point 70 metres east of its junction with Hall Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 30 metres.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 2 April 2012 for 3 days or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while works to install a new gas connection are undertaken.
The alternative route will be via Hall Road - Station Road and vice versa. Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.
The Order will come into effect on 2 April 2012 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Footpath 17 Parish of Tendring
Public Path Diversion Order 2012
The above Order made on 7th March, 2012 will divert a part length of public Footpath 17 in the Parish of Tendring in the District of Tendring commencing from the junction with footpath 29 Tendring and footpath 22 Beaumont cum Moze and running south-west across the field to the junction with footpath 8 by the lake to an alternative route commencing at the same point but running around the field edge and joining footpath 8 further to the east where footpath 22 also adjoins footpath 8, as shown on the Order map contained in this Order.
A copy of the Order and Order Map have been placed in and may be seen free of charge at Tendring District Council Offices and at the Chelmsford Public Library, Market Road, Chelmsford during normal working hours. Copies of the Order and Order map are available on request from the Chelmsford Library at a charge.
Any representation about or objection to the Order may be sent or delivered in writing to Laurence Page and addressed to the Definitive Map Team, Essex County Council, E3, County Hall, Chelmsford CM1 1QH, no later than 19th April, 2012 and should state the grounds on which it is made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Essex County Council may itself confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation, any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent together with the Order. Any such representation or objections will be taken into account by the Council with the result that they may be made available to the public under the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985.
