Consultation on 4 proposed byelaws prohibiting bottom towed fishing

The purpose of the proposed byelaws is to protect rocky reefs in Land's End to Cape Bank Site of Community Importance (SCI) and Start Point to Plymouth Sound and Eddystone SCI, and to protect ross worm (Sabellaria spinulosa) reefs in Hammond and Winterton SCI and Inner Dowsing, Race Bank and North Ridge SCI.

 Copies of the draft byelaws and draft implact assessments including maps and coordinates of the areas, and questions to consider are available on the MMO website (http://www.marinemanagement.org.uk/protecting/conservations-consultation.htm), by calling 0300 123 1032, emailing conservation@marinemanagement.org.uk, or from one of the following locations:
