APPLICATION FOR INSTALLATION OF UP TO TWO DEMONSTRATION TURBINES IN THE NORTHERN THAMES ESTUARY AT THE SITE OF GUNFLEET SANDS OFFSHORE WIND FARM
Notice is hereby given that DONG ENERGY GUNFLEET SANDS DEMO (UK) LTD (Registration Number 07307044) (the 'Company') (whose registered office is C/O Watson, Farley & Williams LLP at 15 Appold Street, London, EC2A 2HB) has applied to the Marine Management Organisation to undertake a regulated activity under Part 4 of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009 and Section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989.
The application as proposed to be revised, seeks consent for the construction and operation of the following works:
• Up to 2 offshore wind turbine generators with an aggregate maximum installed capacity of 20 MW;
• The associated inter-connecting cables to connect the turbines together;
• An associated Export Cable with a landfall at Martello Bay car and coach park, Clacton-on-Sea and cable connection to the local distribution network adjacent to the Waterglade Retail Park,
Clacton-on-Sea.
The offshore wind farm would have a total electrical capacity of up to 20 Megawatts (MW) and would occupy an area of approximately 1 km2. It is proposed to be located approximately 8.5 km (nearest
point) south east of Clacton-on-Sea in the Northern Thames Estuary. A copy of the application and the Environmental Statement and addenda explaining the Company's proposals in more detail and
presenting an assessment of the environmental impacts, together with a Non-Technical Summary (Updated October 2011), are available for inspection during normal working hours at the Company's
registered office as above for a period of 42 days from the 16th December 2011 and at:

Copies of the Environmental Statement and addenda may also be obtained from Paul McQuillan, DONG Energy Power (UK) Ltd., 33 Grosvenor Place, Belgravia, London, SW1X 7HY, paumc@dongenergy.co.uk for a charge of £250 in paper format. Copies of the Environmental Statement in CD format and the Non Technical Summary are also available, free of charge from the same address. Copies of the Non-Technical Summary are also available from the company's website at www.gunfleetsands.co.uk.
Copies of the environmental statement and supplementary information may also be inspected free of charge and by prior appointment at the offices of the Marine Management Organisation, Newcastle upon Tyne.

The Marine Management Organisation will pass to the applicant a copy of any objection or representation received.
