NORTH SIDE: From Rawstorn Road junction to a point 14 metres west of that junction. SOUTH SIDE: From its junction with Rawstorn Road to a point 101 metres east of that junction (measured along the kerb).
13. To revoke Pedal Cycle Parking Place on Crouch Street (East) - North side - from the boundary of no. 15/17 westwards for a distance of 4.5 metres.
14. To revoke Motor Cycle Parking Place on Crouch Street (East) - North side - from a point 4.5 metres west of the boundary of no.15/17 to the boundary of no 21/23.
The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Waiting Restriction) (Consolidation) Order 2008 will be varied by the above waiting restrictions Order. 'The Colchester Borough (Crouch Street East, Colchester) (Pedal Cycle and Motorcycle Parking Places) Order 1998' is hereby revoked.
15. To introduce 'Motor Cycle Parking Places' restrictions on Crouch Street East in the Borough of Colchester (Existing restrictions contained within Schedule 57 of the 2008 Order)

Description NORTH SIDE: from a point 60.5 metres east of its junction with Balkerne Hill to a point 4 metres east of that point.
The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Waiting Restriction) (Consolidation) Order 2008 will be varied by the above waiting restrictions Order.
16. To amend the existing one way restriction on Crouch Street East to allow pedal cycles to proceed in that length of Crouch Street East in the Borough of Colchester in a easterly direction from its junction with Headgate to a point 126 metres west of that point.
17. To amend the existing one way restriction on Crouch Street West to allow pedal cycles to proceed on Crouch Street West from its junction with Rawstorn Road eastwards for a distance of 26 metres. This will allow pedal cycles to enter Crouch Street West from Rawstorn Road and access the newly converted footway/cycleway.
The Colchester Borough (Crouch Street) (One-Way) Order 1976' and `The Borough of Colchester (Crouch Street) (One-Way) Order 1973' are hereby revoked but the restrictions will continue by virtue of the new order.
Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 1 February 2012.
Further details: A copy of the Order and plans may be examined during normal office hours at County Hall, Chelmsford CM1 1 LX.
Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.

(Grange Road, Tiptree) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 201*

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Orders under Sections 84(1) and (2) and Part Ill to Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To introduce a 40MPH speed limit on that length of Grange Road, Tiptree in the Borough of Colchester from a point approximately 15 metres east of its junction with Pennsylvania Lane in a generally westerly direction for a distance of approximately 550 metres (The road is currently de-restricted)

(School Lane, Great and Little Wigborough) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2012

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of School Lane, Great and Little Wigborough in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Peldon Road, north for a distance of 580 metres to its junction with Church Lane.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 23 January 2012 for 5 days between the hours of 9.30am to 3.30pm or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by BT.
The alternative route will be via Maldon Road — B1026 Colchester Road — B1020 Layer Road —School Lane and vice versa.
Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.
The Order will come into effect on 23 January 2012 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Crepping Hall Road, Wakes Colne) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2012

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Crepping Hall Road, Wakes Colne in the Borough of Colchester, from a point 150 metres west of its junction with Penlan Hall Lane, west for a distance of approximately 250 metres.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 24 January 2012 for 2 days or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while works to replace a cable is undertaken by BT.
The alternative route will be via Penlan Hall Lane - A1124 Halstead Road - Colchester Road - Crepping Hall Road and vice versa.
Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.
The Order will come into effect on 24 January 2012 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Birch Park Bridge, Birch) (6 Ft 6" Width Limit) Order 20** & (Birch Park Bridge, Birch) (3 Tonne Weight Restriction) Order 20**

Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council proposes to make the above Orders under Sections 1-4, Part III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984.
Effect of the orders:
1. To prohibit any vehicle exceeding 6 Ft 6" (1.98 metres) in width, to proceed on the following length of Birch Park Bridge, Birch in the Borough of Colchester, from a point 75 metres south east of the south eastern boundary of Orchard Cottage in a south easterly direction for a distance of 105 metres.
2. To introduce a 3 tonne weight restriction on the following length of Birch Park Bridge, Birch in the Borough of Colchester, from a point 75 metres south east of the south eastern boundary of Orchard Cottage in a south easterly direction for a distance of 105 metres.
The existing 7.5 Tonne Weight Restriction on Birch Park Bridge, Birch in the Borough of Colchester is hereby revoked.

Notice Of Confirmation Of An Order (Other Than An Acquisition Extinguishment Order) Highways Act 1980 - Section 119 Essex County Council Footpath 17 West Bergholt, At Horspits House In The Borough Of Colchester

Public Path Diversion Order 2010

On the 9 December 2011 The Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs confirmed the above order without modification under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order will be to divert a part length of Footpath 17 West Bergholt starting from its connection with Footpath 18 and running in a generally easterly then north easterly direction to continue as the unaffected part of Footpath 17, to an alternative route being 2 metres in width commencing at a point further west on Footpath 18 and running in a north easterly then south easterly direction where it meets the unaffected part of Footpath 17.
A copy of the Order and the Order Map have been placed in and may be seen free of charge at Colchester Borough Council Offices at Colchester Borough Council Customer Contact Centre, High Street, Colchester, Essex, CO1 1 FP during normal working hours and at the Chelmsford Public Library, Market Road, Chelmsford where copies are available on request at a charge.
The new route comes into force on 14 January 2012 and the old route shall be stopped up with effect from 21 January 2012, but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 12 January 2012, make an application to the High Court.
