THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT) REGULATIONS 2011

NOTIFICATION OF APPLICATION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) application and plans, a design and access statement, and associated environmental statements have been submitted to Tendring District Council by DONG ENERGY GUNFLEET SANDS DEMO (UK) LTD (Registration Number 07307044) (the 'Company') (whose registered office is C/O Watson, Farley & Williams LLP at 15 Appold Street, London, EC2A 2HB) for the installation of cables in conjunction with the Gunfleet Sands Demonstration Project from landfall at Martello Bay coach and car park, to the Veolia Water site at the Waterglade Retail Park and the erection of a substation at the Veolia Water Site.

The application and supporting documents can be viewed on the Tendring District Council website (http://www.tendringdc.gov.uk/TendringDC/Environment/Planning+and+Buildings) using the Application Reference 11/01311/FUL.

An application for a Marine License in relation to the offshore section of the cable route for the proposed demonstration turbines was made to the Marine Management Organisation on the 24th October 2011. A copy of this application and the Environmental Statement and addenda explaining the Company's proposals in more detail and presenting an assessment of the environmental impacts, together with a Non-Technical Summary (Updated October 2011), are available for inspection during normal working hours at the Company's registered office as above and at:

Copies of the Environmental Statement in CD format and the Non Technical Summary are also available, free of charge from the same address. Copies of the Non-Technical Summary are also available from the company's website at www.gunfleetsands.co.uk.
