ONE of the UK’s leading touring physical comedy theatre companies has announced an upcoming tour of their new ‘laugh-out-loud’ show... and it's coming to Colchester.
La Navet Bete will be bringing their new show, King Arthur, to the Mercury Theatre.
Since forming in 2008, the company has produced 15 critically acclaimed indoor and outdoor shows such as Serendipity and The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
La Navet Bete has received praise from multiple organisations, such as the BBC, which said: “If all theatre was this good we wouldn’t need TV”.
Whilst many of their shows are still on tour in the UK, La Navet Bete is now promoting its new show, King Arthur.
La Navet Bete has teamed up with, one of UK theatre’s best comedy writers and directors, John Nicholson, to produce the show - which is a retelling of the Arthurian legends.
King Arthur opened at Lichfield Garrick and was described as “a slapstick romp crammed with knockabout fun and innuendo” by Weekend Notes.
The show is at the Mercury Theatre from May 28 to 30.
The show’s UK tour will also include showings in Salisbury, York, Ipswich, Northampton, Portsmouth, Doncaster, Worthing, Oxford, Bristol, Salford, Poole and Exeter – with more dates yet to be confirmed.
Tickets are on sale at lenavetbete.com.
