AN alpaca farm has announced it will host a Christmas wreath making event next month.
Located on Chappel road in Colchester, Alpaca Acres provides family and individual group sessions on the farm, giving visitors the opportunity to spend time with Alpacas, pigs, sheep and goats.
Next month, the farm will host its very own Christmas wreath making workshop, seeing visitors creating traditional foliage door wreaths in a brand new, on-site tent.
Activity participants will get creative alongside micro piglets, goats, sheep and alpacas – which will all roam freely in the paddock throughout the event.
Wreath making supplies will be provided by small flower farm in Aldham, The Freckled Foxglove.
A spokesperson for the Freckled Foxglove said: “I grow and sell cut flowers and foliage to florists, DIY brides and other private clients.
“I grow everything seasonally, pesticide free as standard.
“Flowers are cut specifically for orders- so my cut flowers are never hanging around in buckets waiting for a sale.
“2025 will be my fourth year working the flower field.
“I sell my own bouquets in the spring and summer and Christmas wreaths come winter at various farmers markets and at Ecolnes refillery in Earls Colne.
“I am very much looking forward to collaborating with Alpaca Acres for this truly unique Christmas event."
As well as all wreath making materials, the workshop will offer hot chocolate and warm mince pies.
The event will take place on December 7, from 10am – 12pm and is suitable for those aged 16 and over.
