Napper Barbara Barbara died on 24th November 2021, aged 92. Adored wife of Peter, mother of Helen, grandmother of Nancy and mother in law of Jon. Barbara was Deputy Head of Hamilton CP and Head of the Infant School. She was an inspirational and tireless teacher, setting up the school pottery, playing piano, and specialising in children with dyslexia. In her spare time, she was Treasurer of the Friends Of The Castle Museum, and a Town Guide. She played in the Essex University Jacobean Recorder Ensemble, made silver jewellery and pottery, and knitted hundreds of pairs of socks and navy blue jumpers (while reading). She loved walking holidays, was a learned gardener and, in retirement, joined Peter as a volunteer gardener at the Colchester Hospice. She is now and will always be greatly missed.
