Iris Kathleen Margaret Jay (née Banks)

Iris Kathleen Margaret JAY (née Banks) Passed away peacefully on the 1st January 2022, aged 90 years. Beloved Mother of David, Stephen & Theresa, also much loved Mother-in-Law, Sister-in-Law, Auntie, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Your zest for life, and energy will be missed by us all. All welcome for the funeral service on Friday 4th March at 12:30 pm held at St. James the Less Priory Street Church, Colchester. This is followed by a short family interment service at Colchester Crematorium. The family members will be holding a private party celebrating Iris's Life later in the day.

Iris will be long remembered as a fun loving member of staff at Thomas Mores’s school during my time teaching there. Iris was also present at our wedding held at the school in August 1980. Such lovely memories and photos too. We will remember her in our prayers.
