BRAMHILL Leslie Les died peacefully in South Essex on May 2 after a long illness, aged 78. Widower of Pamela, Father of Chris and Richard, Grandfather of Anna and Megan and Toby, Brother of Eric, David, William and the late Frank.

When I was first a police officer in Essex, Les was one of the more senior constables on my working shift. He was a gentle, kind and considerate person, a good example for a rookie like me to follow. I enjoyed working with him for the few months that we were together.
He is now at peace with the world which is a blessing for himself and those who cared for him in recent times.
