WHITING JOYCE HILDA (Formerly Warren née Nevard) 11/03/1932 - 03/08/2023 Sadly passed away on Thursday 3rd August 2023, aged 91 years. She was surrounded by her family and love at Freda Gunton Lodge where she was so cared for and loved. Beloved Mother, Grandma and Great Grandma. Funeral at Colchester Crematorium at 11.45am on Wednesday 16th August 2023.Tributes

My Dear Mummy
I will miss you so
I’m heart broken that you had to go
For 64 years you’ve been My Mum, we’ve had a giggle, a laugh and so much fun
Your patience towards all around, never faltered or faded , it was always sound
When I was poorly as a child you fussed and cared for me all the while
You appreciated all that others did for you, and your gentleness and kindness were always true.
You were always so generous with what you had
And shared it with us, making you feel glad
Your secret weapon was your smile, a wicked sense of humour and your flirty side.
It’s wonderful that you enjoyed your life,
You had adventures and excitement when you traveled around
And were daring enough to try whatever felt right.
I took you scuba diving on the island of sun you said it was wonderful after we’d done.
I tried to teach you to swim and we skinny dipped in Mersea’s mud, then laughed our heads off because it felt so good.
You rode on the back of my boyfriends motor bike, I won’t lie that gave me a fright.
But life is for living and you taught me right
To enjoy every minute, cherishing all, in this precious life.
I will miss you so

Joyce was a wonderful woman to look after and a absolute delight, I will miss her dearly, rest in peace, I will treasure her forever Xxx
