TWO brothers are set to run the London Marathon in memory of their mum who died after a second battle with cancer.
Kelvin and David Bright are looking to raise cash for cancer charities after seeing their family savaged by variations of the disease.
Their mum Stella came through a battle with cancer 20 years ago, but died last year aged just 57 when it returned.
Dad Gerald also lost part of his foot due to an aggressive form of skin cancer, while David himself was treated for testicular cancer ten years ago.
Now brothers Kelvin, 28, of Clacton, and David, 32, of Colchester, want to do their bit to stop cancer affecting other families.
Kelvin said: “Running isn’t something I’ve done much of and the prospect of running that far is unnerving, but I’m determined to finish as we’re doing it for mum."
Friend and musician Gary Guiver has created a song about their efforts, and the brothers have recorded a music video of themselves to boost awareness of their cause.
The video features Kelvin and David training, dashing past landmarks in Clacton and Colchester.
