SAVED: The HMV store in Lion Walk shopping centre, Colchester
THE HMV store in Colchester is one of 141 saved nationally in a business deal.
Restructuring firm Hilco has reached a deal with administrators Deloitte which will save 2,500 jobs across the UK, including around 20 at the Colchester store, in the Lion Walk shopping centre.
Stores will remain open and new bosses have pledged to reverse a decision to sell tablets and other devices to free up space for an "an enhanced music and visual range".
