A PEER is to live on the poverty line to help starving people across the globe.
Baroness Jenkin of Kennington, who works in the opulent surroundings of the House of Lords, will sacrifice luxury to take part in the Live Below the Line challenge.
It will mean she will live on £1 a day for five days to raise awareness of the daily struggle endured by more than a billion people across the globe who live in extreme poverty.
Baroness Jenkin has twice taken on the challenge before and has so far raised £27,000 for the charity Restless Development.
