A SUPERMARKET collection brought in hundreds of pounds for charity.
The Catherine Bullen Foundation, which fights poverty to Namibia, held a collection at West Mersea Co-op on March 30.
It took £246 towards an extension project at an overcrowded school in Africa.
Roger Bullen, trustee, said: “The majority of the children sleep on concrete floors due to lack of space to house the necessary beds.
“The construction of a third dormitory will result in every child having a bed to sleep on and will also provide showers.”
