POLICE are still hunting for a murder suspect a month after a man was stabbed to death in Colchester.
Thomas Brittain, 26, of Rotary Way, Colchester, was murdered at a flat in Charles House, off St Peter’s Street, in the early hours of Saturday, March 9.
Two suspects were named shortly after the attack.
One, Andre Vella, 19, of Kirby Cross, handed himself into Clacton police station two days after the attack.
He has appeared at court charged with murder and remanded into custody.
The other, Jack Hummerstone, 18, of Clerkenwell, London, is still on the run and considered armed and dangerous.
Some weapons have been discovered but police are looking for a gun and other weapons.
A two-day search of the river Colne, last week, by the Essex Police Marine Unit and Sussex Police divers was unsuccessful.
The hunt for Hummerstone continues and has included searches in Colchester, Clacton and London.
Crimestoppers have offered a £3,000 reward for information leading to arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible.
Anyone with information call Colchester police on 101.
