A CRAFT group for adults with learning difficulties has been producing items for internet sale.
Care provider Essex Cares’ craft group has teamed up with Colchester children’s play equipment company Play to Z, to make unique fabric designs for the online store.
The items made by the group, which meets at Red House, in Messing, have sold for more than £1,400.
Peter Harrington, who leads the Essex Cares craft group, said: “This project is a fantastic way for our customers to participate as part of a team, develop their skills and interests and progress towards voluntary or paid employment.
“The products which have been sold to Play to Z have totalled more than £1,400 which will be re-invested straight back into Essex Cares’ services.”
Play to Z produces learning resources for kids and children with educational needs.
Sue Gascoyne, Managing Director, said: “This added value is what my resources are all about.
“It’s a pleasure doing business with Red House and a great example of partnership working.”
