ABOUT 25 volunteers turned out for an annual spring clean of a Colchester estate.
The litter pick-up, which is organised by St John’s Church, took place across St John’s on Saturday morning between 10am and 12pm.
During the two hours, volunteers collected 30 bags of litter.
Paul Smith, borough councillor for St John’s, said: “It shows a great community spirit in St John’s that people always make themselves available for this.
“To have collected 30 bags of litter probably shows how important it is.”
