A COLCHESTER paratrooper has been selected to carry the coffin of former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher on Wednesday.
Lance Corporal James Steel, 24, of 3rd Battalion, the Parachute Regiment, will be one of eight personnel from all three services who will bear
Baroness Thatcher’s coffin to St Paul’s Cathedral from St Clement Danes Church.
The Parachute Regiment will be represented because of its service during the Falklands War in 1982, when Baroness Thatcher was Prime Minister.
