A MYSTERY dog walker stopped a woman from being robbed in daylight on a Clacton playing field.
The victim, in her 20s, was walking across the Knox Field off Knox Road at 12.10pm on Tuesday.
A man grabbed her by the arm and told her to empty her pockets, but ran off when a nearby dog walker who saw what was happening and ran towards them.
Detectives want to speak to the mystery dog walker, who left the scene before police arrived, and have also appealed for help catching the attempted robber.
The suspect is described as in his mid-20s, about 5ft 3in tall, of slim build and of mixed heritage. He was wearing a grey hooded top and grey tracksuit bottoms.
