SWIMMERS are set to take part in the world’s biggest fundraising swim.
The sponsored swimathon at Leisure World, in Cowdray Avenue, in Colchester, will raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care and is open to swimmers of all ages and abilities.
Competitors can opt to race in 1.5km, 2km or 5km or a team 5km or 1.5km distance challenges.
Annie Feltham, Colchester Council responsible for leisure services, said: “The Swimathon is a great event.
“You can get fit, have fun and raise money for charity all in one hit. I’m really happy that we are able to support it at Leisure World Colchester.”
The fundraiser takes place on Sunday, April 28 and the deadline to register is Wednesday, April 24.
