FOUR solicitors are preparing themselves for a grueling challenge.
Calum Irvine, Tim Ogle, Keith Songhurst and Reggie Lloyd are set to take on the Trailtrekker challenge to raise money for Oxfam.
The walking challenge, on Saturday, June 1, will see the foursome, who work for Colchester-based solicitors Birkett Long, take on an epic overnight 100km challenge through the Yorkshire Dales.
It is the equivalent of walking two and half marathons or crossing the English Channel three times.
Calum and Tim competed in last year’s challenge, raising over £5,000.
Calum said: “Last year was really challenging and most of our colleagues, friends and family think we’re mad signing up to it again, let alone to the more advanced challenge.
“This year’s challenge is going to really put our fitness to the test but we’re all determined and would like to complete it in less than 24 hours.”
Last year, the duo completed the walk in 27 hours 27 minutes.
