A MAN escaped unscathed after smashing into the front garden of a house.

The Vauxhall Vectra veered off Ipswich Road and clipped a brick wall as it veered into Debbie Crookes’s garden.

The car crashed through a fence, ploughed into a bench and ended up entangled in a tree in Upland Drive, Colchester.

Ms Crookes, 50, was working on her computer in her front room when the drama unfolded todayat 4.30pm.
