THE family of an Essex Army officer killed in Afghanistan have donated a new sound system to Colchester Garrison.
Lieutenant Aaron Lewis, from Rochford, was killed while serving with 29 Commando Regiment Royal Artillery in December 2008.
The Aaron Lewis Trust was set up in his memory.
On Monday his family presented £5,000 of stereo equipment to the Garrison's Regional Rehabilitation Unit, raised through the trust.
Parents Helen and Barry said they hoped it would motivate soldiers back to full fitness.
